Buyer and Seller agree to the following conditions as stated below. Seller represents that the puppy has no known disease or illness, and has no known congenital or hereditary conditions that would adversely affect the health of the pup at the time of sale or that is likely to adversely affect the health of the pup in the future. Seller is not responsible to buyer for payment of veterinarian fees for examinations, vaccinations, x-rays, or any other medical treatments for the pup in the future.

**Seller cannot, and does not, guarantee breeding abilities, size, or quality of show. This includes faults of any kind.

** Buyer understands that small puppies require EXTRA CARE and attention to remain healthy.

This puppy is not to be handled by small children or excessively by adults. Buyer has been very explicitly made aware of this breeds susceptibility to hypoglycemia and has been provided with verbal and written information regarding prevention, recognition of, and courses of treatment for the condition. Therefore, seller will not be responsible for the puppy becoming hypoglycemic resulting in death. You must have your new puppy seen by a licensed vet within 24 hours for their new puppy visit, this is to protect me and to protect you as well.. We know how much this new family member means to you, and that you will have your puppy checked in this time frame. Deworming's and immunizations set forth by our veterinarian (see schedule below) will have been completed as shown. While it is generally recognized that intestinal parasites and ear mites are common in puppies, and part of a puppy's early development, we will make every effort to prevent such parasites. Often, the stress of change and travel can cause intestinal parasites to emerge after the puppy has left its mother. Buyer agrees to continue de-parasitization testing and treatment (if necessary) with their veterinarian. De-worming will have been done at age 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age (Strongid - pyrantel pamoate and Drontal) and the puppy will be vaccinated with NeoPar at 4 & 6 weeks of age if size appropriate. Puppy will also receive it's first 5 way puppy shot at 8 weeks. We like making sure your puppy is getting the most protection and the best start at life. It costs us extra but our/your dog is worth it. Buyer agrees to read all of the information provided by seller and to follow through with my instructions and/or your veterinarian's instructions as well .

I help whelp all my puppies every year. Lucky me. I want to be the breeder you wished you found first. I love what I do and it shows.

New owners agree to keep their puppy at home and away from other dogs, public places, parks and will use care in allowing others from outside their home to pet or touch the puppy. This is to protect the puppy from exposure to parvovirus and other infectious illnesses.

New owners will not enroll the puppy in obedience training classes until all immunizations are completed  usually at 16 to 20 weeks of age, according to the veterinarian's schedule. This puppy is not to be left alone for long periods of time or left outside unattended. Buyer agrees not to do any extensive traveling with the pup unless it is to the veterinarian until fully vaccinated. If you choose to take your puppy places and the pup dies due to Parvo or any other contracted disease, Princess Petunias Puppies guarantee is null and void. If for some reason buyer is unable to provide a loving home for the pup, Princess Petunia's Puppies has first right of refusal for the dog and/or will assist in finding a home for the dog.

NO puppy/dog I have bred should  ever go to the dog pound.  You should never fell so desperate as to just drop a dog off at the pound.

I will take any of my dogs back, no questions asked. I take this job seriously and would be devastated to have one of my babies end up homeless.

By signing this document I am affirming that I have read it in entirety and agree to abide by its content.

***HEALTH GUARANTEE IS non TRANSFERABLE***

We guarantee our puppies to be healthy at time of sale and for 24 hours after delivery...

We insist that you have your puppy checked out by a Veterinarian on your choice within 24 hrs to validate our guarantee.

Should your Vet find our puppy "unfit" for sale upon this initial examination, it will be replaced or a full refund given (your choice) provided the puppy is returned with a written statement from the Vet stating the nature of the illness.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to return the puppy along with all registration papers. Your expenses incurred are yours alone. We do not guarantee our puppies against illness brought on by the stress of moving (from our house to yours) shipping, or motion sickness resulting from being transported. This stress can ignite illnesses such as hypoglycemia (sugar drop) or coccidia (dormant in most live animals).

We also do not guarantee our animals to be "worm-free", as this is an on-going process that, once the animal is out of our control, would be the responsibility of the owner. We will gladly advise or coach the new owner in easy natural cures for many problems that can arise if the owner takes the time to contact us and inquire. Raising a puppy is very similar to raising a child. We will not be responsible for the new owner's "inability to respond" to the needs of their new puppy. Pay attention to your puppy at all times and never leave them outside unattended. This is your new baby. Act responsibly. If the puppy becomes ill and the owner has the puppy euthanized without our prior consent, no refund or replacement will be made. All of our puppies have completed their regimen of immunization to their age appropriate shot schedule at time of delivery. We assume no responsibility for any illness to other household pets resulting in being exposed to our puppies. The introduction of a new pet into the household is the responsibility of the owner. We guarantee our animals to be sound with no disqualifying fault at time of sale.

If anything occurs with the dog please let me know as soon as possible. I can help you.

This guarantee shall become void if it is brought to our attention an animal purchased from us is/has been abused. We consider lack of proper housing, proper diet, or grooming to be forms of abuse. Should the purchaser decide to "change the diet" of one of our puppies, any resulting illness shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Should we discover one of our animals being abused, it will be surrendered with the buyer's consent and any expense to bring the animal back to full health shall be the buyer's responsibility. This stipulation is not negotiable.

This limited health guarantee covers the cost of your dog only. We are not responsible for the associated charges, such as shipping, veterinarian fees, mental stress, low blood sugar, or internal or external parasites.

This guarantee does not cover the following minor flaws or any condition that is minor and can be corrected by a veterinarian:

Open Fontanel also known as a Molera (A soft spot on top of the head), this spot may or may not grow completely closed in the Chihuahua. It is not a genetic defect but a unique feature of the Chihuahua.

Trachea in small breeds does sometimes develop a peculiar cough, this is due to the collapse tracheal rings, and it is also known as reverse sneezing.

Hernias (of any kind) Testicles (not descending) Stress of traveling and change of diet can cause loose stools.

Please remember to take a fecal sample with you to the vet to eliminate any and all parasite possibilities.

Should the puppy be diagnosed within 1 year to have a congenital/hereditary disorders which is considered by two unassociated veterinarians to seriously impact the quality of life, short of euthanasia, or require continuous medical treatment throughout the course of the puppy's life, we will provide the buyer with these options:

Should the buyer choose to keep the puppy and accept a partial refund, with the receipt of spay/neuter and return of AKC/CKC papers, a refund of 50% of purchase price will be given less any shipping and vet fees. Should the buyer choose to give up ownership of the puppy to us, we will replace a puppy of equal value. AKC/CKC registration papers must be signed with a transfer.

Once again, we cannot guarantee size as adults: we give guesstimates based on size charts, past litters and our knowledge. Some puppies can just stop growing and others get larger than expected.

PRINCESS PETUNIA'S INFORMATION PAGES WHAT TO KNOW:

You have just purchased a new puppy. Now you have a new "baby" and of course you want that baby to grow up to be a healthy playful little bundle of joy. BUT there are certain things that you need to know and do to make this happen. In the following paragraphs, I have tried to cover the basics of how to care for a new puppy and some information that may save your baby's life in an emergency situation. I will also try to educate you to be observant so you may meet the needs of even the tiniest of our little puppies. Taking your puppy home- One of the biggest mistakes I have observed when people purchase a new puppy, is they immediately have to take it visiting to show it off. NOT A GOOD IDEA. Take your puppy straight home and try you’re very best to keep it there until it has adjusted to its new surrounding and its new parents. Don't do anything that stresses the puppy out.

****never withhold food from a very tiny puppy. Some people try this in an effort to teach it not to evacuate in the house. Feeding is and always should be your first priority in trying to raise a healthy puppy. Some people tell you to put your puppy on a âfeeding schedule in order to house train it. All dogs have regular bowel movements. If they eat, they will have to go within an hour or so afterwards. But this should only apply to a puppy that is old enough and large enough to eat enough at one sitting to sustain it for several hours. This does not apply to the best to paper train these little ones at an early age and teaches them to go out later when they are much older.

Hair loss and thinning-Little dogs, when between 8 and 12 weeks of age, you may notice a sudden thinning splotchy pattern in the cot. Some of us breeders call this the hen pecked look because the coat looks just like a chicken has pulled out tufts of hair. This has very often been misdiagnosed as mange of one kind of another.

Please note that this is a very normal condition that usually only last a couple of weeks to a month and will completely clear itself up with time. The changing of the coat causes it. Smooth coated dogs look like they have bare places and some long coats will shed off their coats until the are nearly slick. It will grow back and is perfectly normal.

Please, Please, Please CALL me about anything.
No question is stupid and maybe I can relieve your worries. I am responsible for your new puppy for its entire life. I helped bring them into this world and take responsibility along side of you for your dog's entire life. I want to know what goes on with "our" dog and can't stress the importance of calling me.
